Turns out that maybe a cash bribe wasn’t the key reason that Trump pardoned Henry Cuellar. He pardoned him so that Cuellar would run for Congress in TX again as a “Democrat”, potentially scrambling the field & gaining another GOP seat. Anything to avoid electing an independent Congress
