Italy’s biggest pasta exporters say Trump administration tariffs totaling 107% will make selling in America impossible and plan to pull out of U.S. stores by January.

“It’s an incredibly important market for us,” said Giuseppe Ferro, La Molisana’s CEO. “But no one has those kinds of margins.”

I am once again saying that we saw what wall to wall, panic coverage of a crisis looked like after the Biden debate and there’s no reason Trump isn’t getting that kind of coverage except for class solidarity.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

Regular reminder that Axios stories saying Dems are about to cave are likely sourced from GOP staffers trying to make it happen.
Doesn't mean it definitely won't happen. But it's like those NYT stories that Harvard is considering caving (they haven't). The anonymous source was trying to manifest it.

I assumed that since Schumer asked for such a pathetically low number on the ACA extension (1 year) it would get whittled down to maybe four months and pinky promises.

But if this reporting is accurate, they're not even going to try for four months. They're just going to take the pinky promises.

When the shutdown started I projected that massive flight delays would end it. Now that in each iteration the Republicans are more unhinged, I fear that the Republicans will only end this when a flight crashes
Spent more than a decade working directly with the FAA on flight safety.

Loss of separation in the NAS, ground incursions, & an over-stressed, unpaid ATC are serious safety issues.

If this goes on much longer, the US will experience a flight safety collapse of one sort or another.
"We have loss of separation in the airspace. Those numbers are going up. More ground incursions. I have more complaints coming into the FAA from pilots who are saying that air traffic controllers are not as responsive. They seem stressed or they're not using the appropriate language..."
