I think the only reason I kept my Twitter account up was to save my leadership thread. I wrote it while still in the Army and was one of my favorite tweets. May be time to deactivate the account, so am going to rewrite the thread here.
The most important thing you will read today.

Helps you understand the reality of today's economy as well as the rage in our politics.

While we are debating the theoretical illegal military orders, it would seem that federal courts recently determining that national guard deployments were in fact illegal, should play a larger part of this conversation.

We can greatly exaggerate their success but we should not underestimate the damage it did to real people and families.
DOGE has been a FLOP, now disbanded 8 months early. Greatly exaggerating their "success" Trump and Musk lied to the taxpayers, never delivering a cent back to them. The real impact: slashing research, endangering public health, removing competent public servants, & creating chaos.
DOGE Disbanded: Elon Musk’s Cost-Cutting Project Quietly Ended
Musk said the initiative would save at least $1 trillion. But its website claims to have reached only $214 billion.

In 2003, I bought my first house as a 30 year old O-3 in Arlington, VA. It was slightly uncomfortable and a little over BAH, but it was reachable.
My daughter and I visited the house we lived in when she was a baby, and she was shocked a 29-year-old Navy guy could afford a nice house in a safe neighborhood.

That wasn’t crazy in 1996 — but today, a nice house is out of reach for so many young people. That has to change.

As a proud Eagle Scout, Army veteran and girl dad, I was ecstatic to see BSA expand to allow girls in the troops. I did co-ed scouting in Europe; it wasn't weird, it was great. We learned early on that we were peers and teammates and not to be toxic DBags.

I was an Eagle Scout.
I learned more about military planning than any course by supporting the USMA camporee that I ran my senior year---a tradition of over 60 years.
Scouting was my path to three decades in the Army.

This is a self own. And it will cost us.

Imagine being a LTC with DC area BAH (nearly $53,000 tax free stipend) and VA loan benefits on top of your salary and you "can't have that sh*t."

Or tanks are irrelevant.
If you don't understand the tools in the toolbox, stop suggesting what to throw away.
Like “Physical Prowess is Overrated” I’d take “SOF isn’t important” off the national security discussion right this very moment.

It’s amateurish. It’s like saying submarines are ungentlemanly infernal machines in 1912.

Just quit it and figure out what reform requires, then reengage.

In all fairness, telling my 9 year old that Ariana Grande got COVID tipped the scales on her not having a meltdown when she got hers.
The headline they used for this story is interesting. So if a celebrity gets Covid they are concerned, Yet the majority of the public thinks Covid is over. You can not have it both ways, Covid is not Over.

Twitter now displays where accounts are from and it has confirmed that too many of the political accounts are out of country bots.

Why are folks still there? To argue with bots? A waste of precious time while enriching the richest man on Earth.

Delete your account.

American expat in Europe in the 1970s. Everywhere I went as a little boy I was thanked for my nation. WWII was yesterday.
Everyone had a GI story.
First chocolate, liberation of camps etc.
The US GI was my superhero.
From my earliest memories, all I ever wanted to be was an American Soldier.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Sure, make sexual assault harder to report and investigate.
Whatever could happen?

You may think SA is woke and not care about it, but it will
absolutely grind an entire institution into dust.

Whatever progress was made, it's gone. This is unforgivable.
