Sad, but true.

I posted an essay from a Native American woman in Oregon a few days ago who shared that her most vivid memory of childhood was hunger.

I'm very thankful for all of my friends, in the U.S. and abroad, some IRL and some on social media, who share their hearts and perspectives.

Remember: we'll get through this.

Love > hate.

I have a 20 year old son on the spectrum (Asperger's), and no one will convince me that it's not genetic. His father is on the spectrum too, and his paternal grandfather was a schizophrenic. Both have shared genetics.

Even though RFQuack has transformed the CDC into a place of misinformation, it doesn’t erase what the science really says about vaccines and autism.

As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

I call "Wag the Dog" on this shooting in D.C.

You want me to believe that an Afghan refugee drove all the way from Washington State to DC to commit these crimes, and now Trump is deploying 500 more troops?

The whole thing reeks.

This guy. He's one of only a handful of celebrities who has never held back re: his disdain for this Administration.

It's a twofer!

Here's the father of Christian Nationalism posing in a TAN SUIT (OMG!) with King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. This was 16 years before 9/11.

Think about where we'd be now if this fossil hadn't taken down President Carter's solar panels and had invested our $$$$ in renewables.

Trump's garbling of common words is indicative of some form of dementia.

I'd say frontotemporal, because he has speech difficulties, judgment issues, impulsivity, and that "leaning forward" stance.

He's having MRIs to track its progression.
Gupta: It’s clear that there’s age-related cognitive decline.

He’s confused a lot. He sometimes mumbles sort of incoherent nonsense when he’s asked a question in the Oval Office.

Clearly they’re not getting MRIs just because, because that’s the moment that we live in. There’s a reason

Yet another way to sidestep Citizens United.
If the state of Delaware prohibited companies incorporated there from spending on elections in any way, Citizens United would be dead in the water.

Delaware incorporates more companies than any other state.

It’s a blue state. Let’s get cracking on moving Delaware lawmakers on this!

Too bad they haven't deported him to Sudan or El Salvador yet.
When you lose the craziest of the crazies: Alex Jones says he’s “inches away” from dumping Trump and siding with MTG.

I have the utmost respect for people in the entertainment industry who speak out against this fascist regime.

Even though they have every right to have an opinion, the stakes are always high when anyone challenges the status quo.

People still talk like there were one or two pipelines in Epstein’s trafficking operation.

There weren’t.

There were the ones you could see, and then the ones designed so you never could.

So, we're giving them more time to intimidate and/or unalive more witnesses?
If you’re wondering why there’s a lull in the Epstein files discussion, it’s because the law that just passed gave Pamela Jo 30 days to release the files. So we’re all waiting to see how she tries to sabotage it. The discussion will pick back up in earnest on December 20th.

Honestly, do these people have a death wish?

As far as I'm concerned, this is child abuse, and the U.S. is going to have to be utilitarian about this issue.
A West Virginia judge has ruled that the state’s school vaccine law should allow exemptions for people with religious objections. Exemptions to the state’s vaccine requirement have been granted only for medical reasons, and for decades the state has had one of the highest vaccination rates.
State Court Rules School Vaccine Law Can’t Bar Religious Exemptions
The decision was handed down by a judge in West Virginia, which has one of the country’s strictest school vaccination laws and one of the highest vaccination rates.

Perpetrating violence is giving the Trump Administration everything they want.

Now he's ordering 500 more troops.

I'm scared to death, because my best friend's son is a senior in college and he's been training for the National Guard.

Ditto for ALL living creatures.

I do wildlife rehab, and you'd be amazed by how many calls we get re: opossums who have been purposely injured by humans.

They aren't rabies vectors: they're big scaredy cats who just LOOK ferocious, and they play a very important role in our ecosystem.
Greeting you on Bluesky with this reminder

They are living, thinking, feeling beings

And they deserve our respect, even if we haven't earned theirs.

One love

I'm really looking forward to her trial for crimes against humanity. I want a front row seat.

Well, considering the fact that Reagan killed over 80,000 people by not acknowledging the AIDS crisis, this is very à propos.

Reagan started it, and now Apricot Pol Pot is finishing it.

It's come full circle, just like Lee Atwater wanted it to. I hope he's burning in hell.
The Trump admin has decided it will no longer commemorate December 1st, World AIDS Day. Fed employees have been instructed to refrain from publicly promoting World AIDS Day through any communication channels, including social media, media engagements, speeches, or other public-facing messaging.

How many times does Lucy have to pull the football out from under Charlie Brown before he learns his lesson? 😫

Honestly, it's like watching someone with an abusive spouse who keeps going back for more.

This Native American Heritage Month, we're recognizing the need for greater representation in our courts.
