New hampshire has giant malls with all the big box stores (and fireworks outlets, which i can not imagine stay profitable given how many there are)

Vermont is interesting. There's like no big box stores, shops are mostly local co-ops for groceries and maybe a few local chains like ace hardware and so on. Also kinda jealous of the train that covers most of the state
