One of my favorite holiday memories ever was walking over to the tree lot near the hospital where I worked in San Francisco, asking them for the smallest tree they had (~48 inches), and then carrying it onto the bus for my commute home.
The smiles from strangers on that bus will last a lifetime.

The Mexican dry rub is now dialed and being applied to a whole lot of pork shoulder for a chili verde Sunday “roast”.

Thanks to the Seattle OLSC, I may have a new favorite pub. St Andrew’s is surely the only place in Seattle where you don’t even have to ask for Crystal and HP; they’re already out. Killer meat pies, Liverpool matches, and Frank Turner on the speakers at the half. #YNWA

How about we save the expense of removing the speed cushions that have already proven effective, and instead put those funds toward REAL protection (concrete curbs/islands, bollards, etc.) for the bike lanes?

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
