Utah Continues To Ban More Books, Even As It Racks Up More Lawsuits
Utah's budding theocracy continues unimpeded as we head into the new year. On top of its other unconstitutional laws (like the oft-challenged social media ban) and legislative proposals, there's its book ban law that has seen it become the first state to actually remove certain books from all public schools across the state. The targeted books are exactly the ones you think they are.

Trump says he didn't know about Epstein’s crimes, but docs in the Epstein files show that in 2006 Trump told then-Palm Beach police chief: “Thank goodness you’re stopping him, everyone has known he’s been doing this.”

From @jkbjournalist.bsky.social:

Trump told Palm Beach police chief ‘everyone’ knew about Epstein, Maxwell was ‘evil’
The new information comes as Ghislaine Maxwell was summoned to appear Monday before a Congressional committee.

When I think about measles I think about the number 1,000. Thats the number that epidemiologists use to explain harm from measles in children. With 1,000 cases, about 200 children will require hospitalization, 50 will develop pneumonia, and one to three will die.

South Carolina is at 789.
