We binged all of season 1 and 2 of #Severance this week and holy hell. Can't believe we slept on it. So damned good.
Ben Stiller is such an excellent director, and Adam Scott is perfect.

The fact that itch posted this and not even an hour later I got a bunch of new sales proves how big it is when other people talk about your games.

It can literally be a life changing events.

When John Harper made a nice quote tweet about Breathless, hundreds of people looked at the game.

Turns out we have norovirus, and feels like there's hundreds of fire ants biting me inside my stomach and an angry beaver is in there trying to slap them all off the walls of my stomach with its tail.

Some of the high-power items in Bug & Claw are going to take a slightly different approach.

You might:
• Meet unique or high-powered foes
• Find unique or powerful weapons and equipment
• Or meet strange non-player characters

Yet they're all based in the same concept...

Interesting to hear from more people that are having trouble getting a group together for #ttrpg play but used to play regularly before COVID. So interesting what's driven us to silo ourselves away.

Have you seen light used in a TTRPG or board game before? I mean literal light, like from the sun, a flashlight, or maybe a candle?

In this post I dive into one of my favourite mechanics:
Favourite mechanics: Sunlight - Monkey's Lunch
The first time I experienced a game using the light of day to influence things, it was an approximation of daylight in Pokémon Silver. You input your local time into the game when you start it and the cartridge itself would track it like any other digital watch, affecting Pokémon availability, day and night effects,

#Usability is incredibly important to me, and not just because I lead product experience efforts in my day job. In game design, I think we need to continually come back and assess:
• Our game loops
• The flow of play
• Player understanding of rules
and more

It's essential to understand that no single game system or mechanic is inherently superior to others. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, and the choice depends heavily on the type of game experience you want to create and the target audience.

One thing about world-building a setting for #ttrpgs or other uses is getting a handle on what the various settlements and their placements should be like. Should there be a lot, or only a few? What's each one like?

#Saltmarsh and the surrounding areas are ripe for extended exploration, adventure, and storytelling. Why stop at the Ghosts of Saltmarsh when you can spin up new adventures filled with peril, mystery, and treasure?
