This is why I decided in the '90s to live openly as a survivor of #CSA and a person living with #PTSD. I have shared parts of my story with many people who have said it helped them. Abuse thrives in secrecy; talking about it takes away some of the shame and helps with healing. 💜
I can't eat Popeye's food because it's too salty, which is annoying because it's some of my favorite foods! (Fried chicken and red beans and rice!) Haven't tried Raising Cane's yet. That's disappointing to hear.
My first thought when I heard about The Louvre being robbed was these guys.
Looks great! I always add a little more water than recommended because Basmati is thirsty, I've never tried soaking it beforehand like you said you do. I'll have to try that!

Sorry to be corny but the aerial shots of these crowds are almost indescribably moving and hopeful

A recent example of this:

During class, my professor prompted Chat GPT to write a short speech about a specific topic and cite sources. It completely fabricated a story from the LA Times. Provided a link and everything, and the link went nowhere bc it wasn’t real.

AI is feeding you false info.
I need people to understand why AI is being forced down our throats & so quickly:

1) They want us to have poor critical thinking skills & to be reliant on it b/c it makes us easier to control.

A smart populace will organize, ask questions, or revolt.

Happy #ILoveYarnDay! Here's a few things I've knitted over the years.
Always repost!!
You know the rules.
As is always correct and in accordance with all the laws of the internet, I just watched Tom Holland's epic Lip Sync Battle performance, and now I am sharing it with all of you so you can do the same.

It was the 2011 White Correspondent’s Dinner when Obama roasted Trump. That’s the actual moment that lead to all of this, I’m convinced of it.
Are yall ever just sitting around and out of the blue you remember — again — that all of this is because of ONE Black President?!!

Just the one!!

“Able-bodied” may sound like a medical determination, but, as disability activist @imanibarbarin.bsky.social says, it’s really just a vague way “to signal this idea that disability can be seen.”
The deceptive phrase behind Trump's Medicaid purge

With the Tylenol bullshit I’m reminded that women have always been the scapegoat.

Remember, they didn’t burn witches. They burned women. And I have no doubt that some would like to bring that practice back.

Speaking of voices under attack…can we be just as loud about Black journalists and comedians who are silenced, even by our so-called liberal outlets.

• Joy Reid
• Don Lemon
• Melissa Harris-Perry
• Tiffany Cross
• Jemele Hill
• Marc Lamont Hill
• Karen Attiah

Hey white people! All that smoke you had for Disney and ABC and shit?

Send that same smoke to the Black folks who lost their jobs for the same damn reason.
Karen Attiah, a Washington Post opinion writer fired this month for her social media posts about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, has filed a grievance arguing that she should have been allowed to share her views on news events under the company’s labor agreement and social media policy.

“We learn we should run from such men to avoid being kidnapped, sexually assaulted, or killed. Yet, ICE is increasingly conducting raids and arrests in masks, plain clothes, without visible IDs or badges, using unmarked vehicles — tactics that cause confusion, terror, and mistrust among the public.”

Alright, we understand it's ridiculous that pregnant women are being discouraged from using Tylenol... Now we just need to take that a bit further & consider how tough it is for people with chronic pain to get adequate pain management & how stigmatized their meds are. Everyone deserves pain control.

I think it’s high time we take back the national narrative. For centuries Americans of all races, genders, religions, and abilities have worked to create a more perfect union, and we should shout from the rooftops that WE are America. Not these idiot white supremacist authoritarians.

I believe this to my core. They're using trans people as a test case to dismantle individual rights in the US.
Trans rights are not the rights of a tiny minority, trans rights are everyone’s rights to self-determination, control of our bodies, and a society where opportunity and aesthetics are not restricted by sex assigned at birth

You should support and defend trans people because trans people are people

I think one of the better, more subtle tributes to Robert Redford's life is the string of utterly iconic female co-stars who've come forward to eulogize him; each of them take-no-shit types like Fonda and Streisand, and every one of them without a single bad thing to say. A model for male behavior
