I love good books and bad movies. Trying to raise healthy and kind humans on the South side. Overrun by pets and projects. (she /her) Free Palestine.

Niemoller was right of course but so was Fred Hampton, shortly before his murder by CPD and the FBI. The simple answer is also the speedy one. Nobody goes. We all stay right here with the people.
Really jarring to be at the gym after another battle between unarmed civilians and heavily armed government agents and see what appears to be a QVC style product pitch on CBS and 4 of the schlubbiest white guys you've ever seen talking about nothing on "wake up barstool".

state and local political leadership at this time requires a willingness to be in the streets facing agents of the federal government. don't know what else to say but that

this is Minnesotan for "I am mad enough to bite through rebar"
Props to the lady giving an interview in her pink UFFDA hat and saying, "well, gosh, I've never had tear gas and flashbangs shot at me, but I'm happy to take it so my neighbors are safe."

100%. One thing I did not recall that came up this time is... Where are they getting cheese? Do they milk different animals? I wish they had teeny cows but they go unmentioned.

The kind of ball-knowing questions you simply won't get from warm climates. We aren't all carrying shovels at all times, guys.

A story that pairs well with the Redwall book I'm reading to the kids. Now I'm thinking about how we get squirrels on the team

Interesting, I notice they don't have their most well known branding on this stuff...

Rest in peace, neighbor. I also moved a lot as a child, one of the things that drew me to Chicago was how many people have deep roots. My kids go to a school where they've had several teachers that also went there as students. There's a continuity and strength that comes from long term residents.

Jack Daniels really said "we have a strong brand with 'people under 25 about to have the worst hangover of their life to date' and we don't want to taint it with regime propaganda"
