The latest corruption scandal is only the latest example of how the Toronto Police have become a broken institution accountable to no one.

On Via Rail, we’re stopped in Belleville, two attendants just ran down the aisle, one of them saying “This is taking (?) too long.”

This does not bode well…

I mean, most game dev is a huge risk. Entering a crowded shooter market, with a free to play game, even if it’s kinda fun, will likely be financially unsustainable. The layoffs suck, yes, but signing onto a team like this is risky. Even signing onto AAA games is risky. What’s the solution? I dunno.
What the hell are we even doing here:

Voici la carte qui superpose les décès à vélo aux zones d’audit.

1-La quasi-totalité des décès survient hors du réseau cyclable.

2-L’expansion récente du réseau cyclable répondait à un enjeu d’insécurité routière bien réel.

3-Un réseau cyclable, ça sauve des vies.

Ads I’ve seen on the TTC this morning: “Got Hair?” for some kind of baldness treatment, “FULLMAST” treatment for ED, and “Sovereign Male” offering Testosterone replacement therapy (whatever that is).

De La commune bike bath really should be made better, the east end of it is a nightmare, especially in peak tourist season. Bikes need a safer way to get through the old port (on de la commune). Rachel should be expanded, it’s easily one of the highest trafficked lanes.

It’s just so dumb. I could really rant about this for a long long time.
The new mayor of Montreal is moving forward with her “audit” of bike lanes. Possible outcomes still unclear.

Continually framed as for “safety”. But if serious, why not focus on roads without bike lanes?

Complaints about bike lanes are mainly not about safety. They’re about loss of space for cars.

Montreal-specific post: An unexpected benefit of the REM is that it is now so much easier to get to Gare Centrale from the Green Line. You used to have to go through a labyrinthine underground maze to go from Bonaventure to the train station. Now it’s seamless.

The Last of Us was a good, recent example of this.
Despite broad acknowledgement of her comedic genius, Catherine O'Hara is underrated. Among the finest and most sincere actors I've ever seen. Completely invested in every character and able to hit comedic and dramatic beats without losing a millimetre of the intent or honesty of her characters.
