When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

BREAKING: After we sued, DHS withdrew a subpoena seeking personal information about our client who criticized DHS' treatment of a man seeking asylum.

This is a win not just for our client, but for everyone’s First Amendment right to speak out without fear of government retaliation.

This teenager saved his neighbor's dog from drowning in a freezing pond. This is Bernard. His family contacted emergency services right away, but high school senior Hugh Pinneo got to Bernard first. Hugh said he's "just glad I acted that day and saved the dog's life." We are too. 12/10 for all

Robert Maxwell …. Ghislaine Maxwell’s dad… is a huge bankroller and co-founder for McGraw-Hill textbooks. The books we almost all learned from our entire school age..

His publishing company merged with theirs and made them the books the standard for American public education.

Let's take the 1992 Cowboys, for example. "Of course the 1992 Cowboys were better than the Seahawks. The Seahawks almost lost to Philip Rivers."

The 1992 Cowboys almost lost to Tommy Freakin' Maddox, 31-27.

Seahawks lost 3 games by combined 9 pts. The 1992 Cowboys lost to the Eagles 31-7. (2/x)

So it is essentially the same or worse but all the mainstream media made it seem like there was a policy shift, a pivot, as they are fond of saying.

Stick with indies
Another classic post-Homan day where around school dismissal time we get a flurry of ICE vehicles all across our neighborhoods. Today one vehicle led an observer to their own home and pointed at it. This is a sick game to them, but we won’t be intimidated and we won’t stop until DHS is abolished.

New: Just how furious are Americans about ICE? Sewing influencers, bourbon vloggers and the mod of r/catbongos are all taking a political stand. "I refuse to wake up in five or 10 years and look at myself in the mirror and say, ‘You had a platform and did nothing,'" a golf YouTuber told me
Outrage over ICE has spilled into typically apolitical online spaces
Fury over Alex Pretti’s killing has flooded the internet’s most apolitical venues, reflecting a growing outrage over the Trump administration’s crackdown.

Hey we live in hell so how about buying some wound treatment for medics who have to be out on the street patching up their neighbors instead of *not* doing that and living the lives they lead before the goonsquad came to town.
Do you want to help Minneapolis out in a different way? Help set up some new street medics so that they can make sure community members are cared for at protests.

I realized that I did the Seahawks on the list of the top DVOA teams but not the top DVOA defenses including the playoffs.

2025 Seahawks 8th, 2013 Seahawks 11th

2000 Ravens are notable because they were so much better in the playoffs than the regular season.

New on @athlonsports.bsky.social: The Seahawks have been getting away with defensive schemes other teams just can't all season long. In Super Bowl LX, they tripled down on all of it, and somehow became even better.

The Seahawks Won Super Bowl LX With A Game Plan You Won't Believe
The Seattle Seahawks demolished the New England Patriots by tripling down on a defensive structure other teams can't get away with. In the end, only Mike Macdonald's team could do what it did.

At one point this year I thought I was going to have to spend the offseason figuring out how to improve DVOA because why did I like the Seahawks so much when all the EPA-based power ratings had them lower?

I don't think I will need to do that, not for that reason, certainly.

Sack-Fumble was Seahawks best pressure all year.

Maybe the blitz path of the NFL season.

"Inside" path...

👉 This has been Mike Macdonald's favorite pressure in 2025...

"Inside" Fire Zone path (5-man pressure) with Cover 2 (modified Palms) behind it.

The pressure can attack the TE or the RB, depending on the game plan.
