What's this? Scotland, Brazil, England and Croatia in the same World Cup group?

Oh, no, that was too good to be true. That show was so bad even the Oxford comma left early

Googled F1 times for this weekend's title decider. Glanced at Google's AI, which I (understandably) usually ignore – it managed to get EVERYTHING wrong, and confidently as well. I can't repeat it enough: if you're relying on AI and not checking everything it spits out, it will eventually burn you

Valid observation here up to a point but the *actual* cause is an environment in which a decreasing number of people can get increasingly wealthy to the point where they can make mad bets and externalise a lot of potential costs and risks. Like an *awful* lot
When the AI bubble does bursts, we’ll have think pieces reflecting on how the totally predictable thing happened, with zero accountability.

This con is a media-driven one, and it will take down the last remnants of trust in the media with it.

It’s all BS….

So that's Wales and Scotland getting properly fighty with Starmer. If he loses the Celts, he loses the lot

This just seems like such an unforced error by team Starmer, as well as being a timely reminder of just how concerned Cymru Lab are about May elections
BREAKING NEWS

Over a third of Welsh Labour Senedd Members have written to Keir Starmer to stop undermining devolution.

They say:

"If this was being done by a Tory Government, we would be calling for a judicial review. This must never happen again."

I like this:
• Pogues, Aberdeen: Capitol trashed. Shane v trashed
• John Martyn, Gateshead: He was in wheelchair so no carpark fight this time
• Jeff Beck, Ronnie Scott's: His own rules
• Nick Cave, Troxy: Got photog pass, almost gobbed on by Warren Ellis
• Manics, Hard Rock Cafe: Tinnitus. Worth it

This story is a complete disgrace - and an explanation of so much that is wrong with our economic system.

He's going to have to up his game on actual policies one way or another, so I daresay getting the Tories to do the grunt work is what passes for sensible. Somehow, I can't see him playing Clegg to whoever is the Tory leader if this pans out...
There will come a point where Farage realises he needs non-dregs defectors to look vaguely respectable and Tory frontbenchers realise a pact is the only way they get to carry on being MPs. Then there will be deal.
FT Exclusive: The Reform UK leader told donors he expects a deal or merger between his party and the Conservatives ahead of the next general election, suggesting he does not believe he can sweep to power alone. on.ft.com/44xlHi0

Employment Rights Bill impact not factored into OBR predictions. In March, it said the ERB would prob negatively impact jobs, inflation and productivity.

So however grim today's figures are, the truth is quite probably even grimmer :-/
