i'm always saying i want to see more of that face

This season of the Real Housewives of the Reich is getting weird.
Candace Owens released leaked audio from Turning Point USA in which Erika Kirk is heard giggling and cheerfully discussing attendance figures, merchandise sales, and performance metrics from Charlie Kirk’s memorial event just 11 days after his death...

RE: Minnesota. A lot of you need to google Paul Wellstone to understand the rich history of progressivism in that state.

Many of my friends on the coasts STILL think MN is "red". FFS. History, y'all. It's a thing.

You know what comes after cracks like this in the ship's hull? Leaks. A lot of leaks. (FWIW, Noam is a piece of shit but she's also telling the truth. Of course this is what he fucking told her to do.)

Happy to report my initial pass with a federated platform is going really well. Thank you to the people who put a lot of free time and passion into making it possible.

As a 55 yo woman, I've seen a lot of media come and go. I know a new train when I see it and this one is leaving the station.

I'm dedicating my Threads account to shit posting Josh Hawley all week. Same handle over there.

He's made a pivot X recently. He never mentions Trump (if he does it's benign). Instead, his social is devoted to his being anti abortion. No mention of America first. Just protecting the unborn.

As sad as I am that Tim Walz is not our current VP, he's managing a thankless crisis brilliantly (again).

His unflappable, steady calm makes him the right guy for the right role at the right time. That he can do this after MAGA harassed his family and torched his career? One word: Character.

Extortion is illegal under Federal Law, Pam.
🚨BREAKING: State election leaders and voting rights advocates across the country are blasting U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi for exploiting the killing of a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis by a federal immigration officer to “blackmail” Minnesota into handing over access to its unredacted voter rolls.
‘All-out assault on our democracy:’ Bondi’s Minnesota blackmail letter draws righteous fury from state election leaders
“This isn't leadership. This is blackmail," Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes said. "This is the way organized crime works."

I'm going to try another one of these: David Ellison is the Veruca Salt of David Ellisons.

Those of you who are heaping piles sh*t on MN state leadership and dems in general for not being "bolder" and "louder" re: ICE need to read this.

IN fact, everyone should read this.

Killer work from @wired.com again. The tech press is crushing it.

Why Minnesota Can’t Do More to Stop ICE
Democratic lawmakers have few options that wouldn’t trigger something like civil war.

Why is the border czar going to a state nowhere near an international border. Does he mean Canada?
NEW
#Trump issues stmt saying he's sending Border Czar #TomHoman to #Minnesota "tonight."

Trump: "He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there. Tom is tough but fair, and will report directly to me."

Trump also: DOJ is "looking at" Rep. #IlhanOmar (D-Minn.).

And this is what people are doing in sub-zero temps.
This administration is cooked. Literally no one is scared of them.

@repwesleybellmo.bsky.social Where is your statement on what happened in Minneapolis today? Cause it's not on here, it's not in Instagram and it's not on Threads. If it's on X, no one on the left who matters will see it.

Silence is not an option today.

One of my favorite music YouTubers was hacked. He's spent years building his channel. It's been down for 2 days. YouTube has a unique spot in the social ecosystem. Nearly impossible to replicate in terms of scale and infrastructure.

Google was supposed to be broken up. Let's remember that in 2026.

Haven't done this for a while. Let's see how it goes. Brett Ratner is the Russel Brand of Brett Ratners.
January 23, 2026 at 11:26 PM
I 1M% agree with this, but: The Trump administration was equally manipulative with the truth and facts during his first term. This isn't new. This is who he's always been.

This is both horrifying and precedented. Don't let the shock and awe blind you to what happened to him after the 2018 midterms.
This is the first example I’ve seen of an American government using AI to meaningfully misrepresent actual events with the intent to deceive the public. We are at Stalinesque levels of propaganda.

I've been playing around on the The Forkiverse for all of 3 days now and here's what I have to say:

Every single journalist that still uses X should band together, and form a working group with a non-profit board to fund and moderate a Mastodon instance.

X would die in five minutes.

Huh. Wonder how many of those billionaires are having some serious buyer's remorse right about now. If only they were all hanging out together right now at some annual summit? Too bad that can't happen so they all can't scream about this in real life. Oh well.
January 20, 2026 at 11:49 PM
I would specifically like @kevinroose.com and @caseynewton.bsky.social to know that I have taken the small leap into the fediverse and have joined the Forkiverse. I'll keep my rage posting here. My plan over there? To bring back pre-Facebook web vibes. Here for it. And thank you.

Yo. We STILL don't know what really happened to him when he was nearly assassinated. Can you imagine any Democratic president getting away with that? None in my lifetime would.

Nadella is an extraordinarily accomplished CEO, helping Microsoft evolve from irrelevance into one of the planet's most powerful and important cloud service provider.

However you feel about AI, he's one to listen to.

I wrote this (link in thread) in 2019. Most people weren't taught (me included) that segregation included blood. Were you Black, you would be denied blood drawn from a white person in pre-Civil Rights, segregated America. King nearly died from a stabbing due to this racist horrific bullshit.
