RIP Sal Buscema, one of the very best comic book artists to ever do it. His run on Spectacular Spider-Man with J.M. DeMatteis was the stuff of legend.

To be clear, this is a victory, which was won by ordinary people putting their lives on the line in the streets of Minneapolis while almost all their elected leaders kept quiet or made only muted criticism.

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

For @theatlantic.com, I wrote about how Saturday Night Live uses New Slang to stay current while destroying it in the process.

I also got to use the term "dumb bitch juice" in The Atlantic, and included references to Young Thug and poppers. You're welcome!

When I saw it was 1996 week at P4K, I could feel it in my bones that this was on its way. I don't say this lightly: this is Jeremy D. Larson's masterpiece.

1) ICE must be disbanded and everyone involved in today's shooting must be held accountable.

2) You don't need to see that video.

I'm glad this little-known band is finally getting some attention.
Here's Geese getting lines in their 'SNL' promos with Teyana Taylor.

And everything the band members have been up to this week including playing solo sets, streaming on Twitch, and nabbing a BRIT Award nomination… 👇

In October 2024, if you said ICE would happily use children as bait, you would be told to stop acting hysterical.
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

Legit surprising that Jeff Smith's Bone never became a TV series. Seems like a no-brainer.

The political situation is so dire and awful that there's no space for us to grapple with the fact that A$AP Rocky's new single is a straight-up 2010 chillwave song. (Complimentary.)

What a dispiriting time.

I can't think of a bigger "telling on yourself" move than accusing someone of virtue signalling.
A big part of the current right wing belief system is that everyone is actually just as bigoted as they are, and are only pretending not to be as a public performance ("virtue signalling").

They genuinely thought once they started doing open racism, everyone would join in
