All in all I'm very happy with what we did with the games, and that people have been overwhelmingly positive about the changes (which you can disable, if you like). The waypoint system was a bit of a pain to add to Hexen, but hopefully it helps a few of you out there in finishing the game!
Vestiges of Grandeur: A small bayou-like area with wooden bridges leading to tiny islands, the last of which has a stone altar with a large gem on it. Vestiges of Grandeur: A library in a gray building, with bookcases lined up every which way. Vestiges of Grandeur: An arena with stained glass windows at the far end, an inset for a sigil of kind nearest to the viewpoint, and columns that cradle fire in the middle. Vestiges of Grandeur: A view of a blackened temple with impaled bodies and trees wreathed in shadow. Braziers of flame outline the frame of the temple. A crimson sky provides the backdrop.

As soon as I heard we were working on it, I jumped at the idea of making a new hub for it. What resulted was "Vestiges of Grandeur" (Xaser came up with the title), a 9-map hub which included 2 secret maps. I did most of them while Xaser, Kaiser, and Not Jabba did a map each.
Vestiges of Grandeur: A staircase on the side of a big swamp castle. Vestiges of Grandeur: A tombstone on a grassy hill, with a well that will kill you if you jump down it! Vestiges of Grandeur: One of the buildings in a small village amidst a wooded area. A fire pit can be seen in one of the buildings. Vestiges of Grandeur: More wooded areas with a mausoleum visible to the right side.

If you told 11-year-old me that I was gonna work officially on a game I was playing when it just came out, I'd say you were out of your mind.
