I write books. They might not be your sort of thing but maybe you know someone who’d like them. They’re about middle-aged people falling in love.

I also work on other people’s books. The one on the right I am particularly proud of.

I post about writing, editing, and rocks, amongst other stuff.

All right, crafty folks.
I need everyone who sees this to keep a look out for the following shawls. They were lost by FedEx on the way to Barcelona Knits, and have been declared "unrecoverable".

This is thoussands of euros of work & materials, not to mention their value at Trunk Shows & Workshops.

You may know that in 2014 I had a rare type of #cancer - Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in my windpipe. The amazing #NHS team in Nottm & Derby saved my life. Later I met other patients through SalivaryGlandCancer.uk and I am proud to say I am now a trustee of that charity...

OH so there are TWO Wicked films? I'd missed this and wondered why everyone was talking about it again.

What's that you say? Finger on the pulse of popular culture? Moi?

I enjoyed this sauce-based thread, you might also enjoy it, but I am forced to mention that there's only one 'd' in Fanny Cradock.
I'm going to reproduce a saucy thread I did some years ago in the other place. It is divisive and produces many odd statements and flushes out parochial opinions.

THE SECRETS OF THE SECRETS OF THE SECRETS I remembered that it was on that hill that nurse taught me to play an old game called ‘Troy Town,’ in which one had to dance, and wind in and out on a pattern...

Ok hive mind I need some advice. Have we got any eBay experts in the house? Or people who know a lot about mailing framed prints? Make yourself known if you might be able to help me work out how I need to list these framed prints and what to do about collection or delivery. I’m a bit stumped!

Next time you are at a Xmas market and they are selling the Erzgebirge wooden animals - take a closer look. Cause this is the amazing way they are made.

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 17:
A good editor is essential. They act as your first reader, one with insights into the industry, and provide the objective overview that you, by definition, can't have. Not all editors may be suitable for you, just as all agents may not be suitable. Choose wisely.
