Very normal people think I am being insensitive to Tumbler Ridge for being so loud about transphobia right now. What they have neglected to understand is the right wing’s response has been to take $ from 🇺🇸 and wage an anti-trans campaign online. We’re fighting a war you don’t even know is happening.

You just have to accept women can be meaner & faster & our follow our lead for once, I promise we’re not leading you astray. Or you can attribute “love is more powerful than hate” to Bad Bunny if it makes you feel better, but we have work to do because 🏳️⚧️ hate is metastasizing in Canada 🇨🇦.

We’re not all talking about transphobia right now because we’re so woke we can’t shut up. We are all reading things in RW spaces normal Canadians won’t and are terrified. This is a radicalization campaign to tear this country apart and they’re sleeping on the threats to violence, as usual.

That’s not good enough to raise awareness. Your job is to stop it because these bills are civil rights violations. You’re not a public service campaign you’re the Senate, you’re supposed to protect us.
C-4 and C-12 will put us to the test again. At the very least, our hearings have raised some public interest and made our urgent concerns a matter of public record. We’ll see what happens next.

I am devastated for Tumble Ridge, I am also seriously concerned we will see a repeat of it, motivated by transphobia. And I have never spoken this way or been this concerned. A lot of money and resources from Conservatives & 🇺🇸 are going into radicalizing people online right now.

Trans 🏳️⚧️ people aren’t mentally ill they are physically traumatized, as in scientists have studied the brains of trans/queer kids and have compared it to the PTSD combat veterans have experienced. Pause on that. Society is literally waging a war on them, and the Canadian government is allowing it.
