I say "I love you" to mean:
You, a being who interprets sensory input, generally finds discomfort unpleasant.
I want you to exist as sustainably comfortable as possible.
Your experience matters etc BUT you don't know my name or intentions. Exercise due caution!
Baby queers, pibling queers, noobs, nerds, dudes, pervs, prudes, kinksters, aces / aros, etc (whether you call yourself queer or not, I include you if you want to be included)

Please treat yourself. Whatever you can do sustainably to feel nourished by, I love you and I want you to feel loved gdi.

There is no corporate media
There is no legacy media
There are only two choices:
MAGA Media or Independent Media
I #SupportIndependentMedia

Legacy media is not capitulating they are complicit. They are propaganda stations nothing else.

It is sadly clear that the legacy media is unwilling to stand up to Trump and is capitulating. I started Democracy Docket in 2020 to be fearlessly independent and pro-democracy.

It will never bow down. It will never give in. It will never compromise

This is the main reason i don’t like how our society conflates “celebrities” with “activists”

Most of our celebrities are entertainers. They represent brands, not issues. They are creatives and performers, not activists with lived experience or training, or the right set of resources to ground them
"Having “fans” can go to an organizer’s head, because it can mean that whenever...wrong, there is a flock...to...reinforce our worst...impulses...It is...important to have people that aren’t just your fans, &, it’s another place where having a...community—to turn to can...keep you in check." 👀

I started reading this earlier at the doctor's office, but then got home, & other priorities took precedence. Given how demoralized I feel, I am returning to it and hoping that posting quotes that resonate as I go may help me with finishing it. Channeling my past self, who read 450+ books in 2017! 🥹

I’m actually just completely at a loss in this moment bc this is not something I expected w/in the first year. It’s all happening so fast & so thoroughly, but that is the difference btw our media landscape today & those of the past.

Just remember: the gaslighting is the point.
the media rush to canonize charlie kirk is legitimately maybe one of the weirdest things of this nature i have ever seen in my life

Completely useless opinion here but I think when Trump was MIA it was bc he had a stroke.

IMO almost every popular view of gender massively downplays the intensity and virulence of anti-effeminacy as a form of gender violence and prejudice.

my dad used to comment on my "feminine physique" until i started transition, suddenly i wasn't allowed to look like a girl. of course, my first memory is of being slugged in the stomach

Even now I find it difficult to actually try and sing, especially if there's any chance someone will hear me. I hate my voice and am totally apathetic to the way I look, and when I think about my childhood's relationship to femininity, I wonder how much of the things that shaped me came from it.

I remember being young and mocked for being feminine, and felt the need to performatively hate feminine things. I was called a wimp and a sissy for not wanting to get dirty or being afraid of spiders, and got it into my head that singing was a 'girly' thing and denied myself even trying that.

all this centered around the fact that i liked sailor moon and animated disney princess movies and the colors pink and purple, and i had to hide this fact like i was in an active warzone. i hate it so much 😞 i want so much better for us

all my friends up until age 19 were entirely because of convenience since being alone was worse, and i had to adopt hoodies and cargo pants to appear larger so people didn't catch onto how weedy i was

the first time i remember being called a "faggot" i was eight years old, i had to lie about my favorite media/TV/characters constantly, i got deliberately targeted in mandated elementary/middle school team sports to where i avoided them entirely once i turned 13
