I didn't realize there was a season for potato salad. I eat it all year. Do love deviled eggs AND I put them on top of my potato salad sometimes.

Prayer is not about begging or demanding specific outcomes. It's not about bargaining [if you do this, i'll do that].

I pray for health & strength. I ask for discernment & guidance. I pray for others, for this fucked up world.

I can't imagine a day without prayer but I understand folks who don't.

Using this shitty post to market your book is nasty work. Using the Bible to justify killing Black boys is racist AF.

Disciplining your own kids is not the same as saying someone else's kids should die. Again, he's specifically talking about Black boys. Apparently you agree. Sad but not surprised.

The Biblical beliefs here aren't fringe. As I talk about in Holding It Together, many conservative White Evangelical moms believe God calls them to physically discipline their kids, and that if kids don't "act right", it's because their parents didn't do that.

It's an easy jump from there to here.
