Alright bsky science + art community, I need your help.

I was p confident we could get a grant to fund our upcoming biodiversity mural in Kensington. Last night, they called to say our partner school is 2 blocks outside of their service area.

But ya know what? We're gonna do it anyway.

The loss of grants management specialists, those with the budget and accounting knowledge to actually get awards out the door is just as damaging for our agencies. May not have Phds but for some ICs we’ve lost more of them then folks with PhDs.

"Healthy dietary patterns, longevity genes, and life expectancy: A prospective cohort study" www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

TLDR:

Dietary component most associated with a longer life: dietary fiber

Dietary components most associated with shorter life: red meat and sugary drinks
Healthy dietary patterns, longevity genes, and life expectancy: A prospective cohort study
Healthy dietary patterns are linked to longer life expectancy and can be adapted to personal preferences and cultural traditions.

Don’t get me started on the hypocrisy of this organization aligning with the current NIH/HHS “leaders”: kill all the animals you want to eat more and more animal flesh and fat but it is unethical to use animals for life saving medical research
