Oof, pelvic floor therapy was on my “to try” list while figuring out my MCAS pain; I put it off over and over for other possible treatments because I knew it would be such a squicky experience OTL

If there's no way to make bully-proof art, you might as well make whatever you want and build community with the people who support the same thing. We're safer together as a coalition. Don't do these people's work for them by censoring and isolating yourself in advance.

(This is how you get South Park fans who are also antis. There is no external metric at play here to separate "good" from "bad" art—only these people's personal comfort levels, and whether they can convince other people their discomfort is a punishable offense.)

Antis pretend to operate under a set of hard "common sense" standards. In reality they pick their targets based on vibes—whether they like you personally, and how your art makes them feel—then work backwards to justify their cruelty, leveraging "paranoid reading" as a cudgel.

I won't tell you these hate campaigns "aren't that bad." It took me a long time to admit I was traumatized by my ordeal. This was never as simple as "go touch grass" when we all depend on socmed for community and career opportunities. It feels unfair of me to ask you to "make art anyway."

PLEASE make art anyway. I've been dogpiled twice (first for defending adult fiction and then over representation) so I know from personal experience that SO MANY creatives have survived this exact maelstrom, and that their arms are open and ready to catch you on the other side.

And of course the right will weaponize this report feature against marginalized artists. Pick a target → find their horny art (or anything remotely adjacent) → slander the target as a child predator → cut them off from social media (and kneecap their ability to network/market themselves). Classic!
