Boards Chair here - before our BOT passed a motion affirming our commitment to Te Tiriti, I received emails from parents and teachers urging the board on.

The union never said a word.

Amazing that reaffirming a commitment to Te Tiriti is viewed as "anti-govt" (his words)

The resignation of Marjorie Taylor Greene is a reminder of how all-powerful Trump is in the GOP. It is compulsory for Republicans to stand with Trump in every matter and at every time. They stand with him, and they will fall with him.

We have all dealt with men like Trump. Men who require constant flattery. But as Mayor Mamdani knows, that need for constant praise can make those men very weak indeed.

This poll, among others, indicates that Trump will be much less damaged by the Epstein files than many people hope. Despite the evidence, fewer than one in eight of his voters believe he was involved in a crime.
"Do you think that Trump was involved in crimes allegedly committed by Jeffrey Epstein?"

All:
Yes: 42%
No: 34%

Yes Among:
DEM: 79%
IND: 43%
GOP: 7%

It's interesting to see MTG and a small layer of other MAGA Republicans breaking away from Trump on the Epstein issue. But I suspect the enormous majority of Trump's followers will remain loyal. They have swallowed thousands of lies - why not this one?

By editing Trump's comments in a deliberately dishonest way, some staff at the BBC did real damage to the political struggle against Trumpism. The only course of action with a chance of political success involves defending the truth without exception.

The booing of Trump at the NFL game is just remarkable. It's sustained and very loud, with no hint of any cheering in response. At an NFL game. Is he listening yet? No, of course he isn't.
