In case you are wondering what kind of country you are living in, you are living in the kind of country where masked federal agents are pulling American citizens out of their cars and seriously injuring them, while also tear-gassing a children's Saturday morning Halloween parade

Blows my mind that they can announce he’s no longer a Prince but nobody’s willing to tell us why. The cunt needs jailing, not early fucking retirement.

Trying to blame the Dems cutting off SNAP (while sitting on billons of available contingency funds) as his boss bulldozes the WH to build a ball room like Saddam's palace, sends $40 billion to bail out Argentines, and eats "gold adorned" brownies in Korea is not gonna work.

Mark Walter, principal owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, serves as CEO of Guggenheim Partners, which holds ~$12 million stake in the GEO Group, a private prison corporation that operates ICE detention centers.

This is why the Dodgers won’t directly condemn the raids destroying immigrant families.
I don’t mind that the owners of the Dodgers are squirming right now.

Because they also own a piece of a growing system of concentration camps that hold folks like me in dark, painful, & deadly environments.

JD Vance is lying. He knows he’s lying. But he doesn’t care. Trump has taught Vance & all the others in my former political party that the truth doesn’t matter.

This is ugly. But the reason this lady was protesting is even worse. ICE thugs detained two children and their father on their way to school. One child appears to have been beaten in detention, and no one seems to know where the 12-year-old girl is right now. The family had been seeking asylum.

very easy to see a scenario where they say voting for democrats is support for "terrorism"
Political persecution of candidates and elected officials have begun in earnest. Among other things, this is also very clearly the path the Trump administration is using for voter suppression.

April 26, 1942: The Reichstag holds its last session, unanimously passing a decree making the Führer "Supreme Judge of the German People." Any last privileges of the parliament were removed as Hitler became final decision-maker in all matters, including life and death over every German citizen.

After January 6, 2021, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Comcast publicly pledged to stop donating to politicians who sought to undermine the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election.

In 2025, these companies have stopped worrying about democracy and are buying Trump a ballroom.
These Corporations Stopped Worrying About Democracy and Bought Trump a Ballroom
It has been nearly five years since the 2020 presidential election, but President Trump continues to baselessly insist it was stolen.

Heather Honey, a high-profile denier of Donald Trump’s loss in the 2020 election, was appointed to a senior DHS position in which she’ll help oversee election security.

“DHS now appears poised to become a primary amplifier of false election conspiracies pushed by our enemies,” one expert said.

Heather Honey has been appointed to a senior position in the Department of Homeland Security. State election officials and voting experts are concerned.

The authoritarian nightmare. A regime with a massive security apparatus used for political purposes, completely unconstrained by the rule of law.

this is a pretty simple one to figure out: it was bullshit and authoritarian when trump tried to rig and steal the 2020 election while lying about how legitimate results were rigged, it was not bullshit or authoritarian to state the fact that trump was trying to rig and steal that election
get a load of this line of questioning from CBS's Margaret Brennan to Hakeem Jeffries aimed at bothsidesing election denial and gerrymandering

Trump's (probably correct) belief that his Justice Department will give him a quarter-billion dollars in public resources is the product of a Justice Department controlled by Trump loyalists who understand their jobs to be "using the law to do whatever the boss wants"
Why Trump Expects the Justice Department to Cut Him a Quarter-Billion-Dollar Check
What Trump’s Justice Department loyalists understand is that the law is a tool they can manipulate to give their boss what he wants.

Yes but some folks like to spend their evenings with their families rather than playing catch up because they were in meetings all day. For one-on-ones, especially weekly, 15min is almost always sufficient.
