Hi Bluesky! I'm a freelance illustrator, currently wondering what sort of art to do next, here are a bunch of my alternative poster designs (which I'll probably add to in the future) 😁

Is it me or has the politics in this country reached new levels of absolutely idiocy? Every news story I see has me tearing my nails out

I expect "bad faith" is exact the root of the issue in many cases
When even Lord Adonis, an opponent of assisted dying, calls out the minority of Peers trying to stall the Bill, it's clear how out of step these bad-faith tactics are - both for MPs and the public.

'This isn't an opinion. This is counting.'

From a media law perspective: BS.

There is no "legal" reason for not publishing that line.

Anti-choice campaigners want ALL dying people to take a pregnancy test before accessing an assisted death.

Amendments like this aren’t scrutiny - they’re sabotage.

Email Peers today and tell them a tiny minority must not derail the assisted dying Bill.

Ignore Mr. Grumpypants, I really enjoyed the first couple of episodes 😁
I was expecting The Rest is Science to be bad because IMO the Goalhanger premise just doesn’t work for ‘science facts’ and ‘science’ isn’t a real subject; but holy crap what a festival of midwittery. (Of course it’ll do numbers.)

This should not simply be forgotten in the busy news cycle.
Earlier this morning, President Trump threatened me and a group of service and veteran Members of Congress with arrest, trial, and death by hanging.

Here’s my response:

This has to be criminal in some way, surely
The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.

Let me tell you what the upshot is from the now-dropped Georgia January 6 case:

A rich white man can with impunity plot to overthrow our government with 18 co-defendants—in a plot with a death toll—if a Black woman involved in the investigation had inadvisable sex.

*That* is how racist America is.

Mr.Mercedes on Netflix is really, really dark... but it has Brendan Gleeson (with his real accent thank goodness) and he is so great to watch. Just finished the first season, interested where it goes next.

How are all those Labour politicians cheering for it?

They were literally whipped to vote for it and then the Prime Minister suspended those who didn't.

They really are totally devoid of any moral principle.

They respond to one thing - and that's political pressure.

If they talk this bill out I will be fucking livid. How dare they cheat the system to deny a move that is overwhelmingly supported by the public and will help so many people who need it. They've lost the argument. Deal with it.

Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.

There's something profoundly broken in these people's hearts.
