usually i try not to hit this sunshine until deeper winter, but y'know. presumably it wasn't jimmy cliff's decision, but takes some (earned) swagger to stick 2 full length versions of the title song on here.

I rented "The Harder They Come" from Video Americain in September, maybe October, 2002 and watched it at Brandom's apartment off University Parkway. The kind of night I wish I could carry in my pocket forever, and in a way, I guess I do.

When I was 15 I took a summer class where the instructor shared one of her favorite bits from MST3K. ("I'm huuuuge!") Also in that class was a kid who went on to found Dropbox. Is there a connection here or just a typical Neil lore? Maybe so, maybe not
Today in 1988 Mystery Science Theater 3000 premiered on KTMA in St. Paul Minnesota. #MST3K

As Americans barrel into Thanksgiving week, it's hard to keep track of all the messages and tensions. For those in need of some guidance, I'd like to offer some simple advice from my vast, varied, worldly experience. Only two things matter in the coming days: The Last Waltz and fiber supplements.

Big news: I’m writing a book!!

I’ll be writing & illustrating a beginner’s guide to appreciating wildlife in cities/suburbs, & how all of us can make our neighborhoods better for those animals.

Thank you to my book agent @ericsmithrocks.bsky.social & the folks at Storey for believing in this book!

"Sorry about the mess," a friend says, as you walk into the pages of Architectural Digest. The walls, gleaming like showroom chrome hubcaps. The floor, never seen crumb. The spices, alphabetized by origin. Friend apologizes, "We just unpacked from a trip." No possessions are in sight. Martha wept.
