Just finished watching the TV drama Normal People. Amazing acting!

Marianne is definitely a fearful avoidant/someone with disorganized attachment.

She only gives into love when it seems that it won't last.

Still not sure what Connell's deal is. He reveals he has alexithymia early on though.

So I have a bit of survivor's guilt.

One of my ex best friends is an abuser. I called him crying when my partner of 7 years & I broke up.

As far as he treated any woman decently he was on his best behavior with me. But eventually I realized he psychologically abused girlfriends & was a creep.

Going back to Summers' talk about how women don't want to work hard and don't have high end aptitude, we could ask:

What fraction of young men must deal with a creep with substantial power over their career hitting on them using tips from an infamous pedophile? 🤔

2 of my younger female cousins are going to Comic Con next year.

One of them went this year.

I may have started the nerd tradition amongst women in my family 😅

So I'm autistic & a raver and I just saw a video of a woman literally say she wears extremely revealing clothing to raves because she is insecure about her body and wearing it out helps give her validation.

🤯

This is just about one of many reasons this happens but like ya that makes sense.

"81% [of teachers surveyed] said students at their school receive devices for use in class by kindergarten."

Why are we giving five-year-olds screens in classrooms? It's nuts and almost universal. What a messed up policy.

Finally watching the Irish drama Normal People and it is hitting me in the neurodivergent hot girl feels.

Never been a secret girlfriend per se but boy have a lot of neurotypical men been interested in me only to pull away early on for inexplicable reasons.

Obviously there's avoidants & such but

As the parent of a child who is Very Good At Math and also spent many years being socially delayed (she’s doing a lot better now, cause we worked on it) … people do not actually put up with your bullshit just because of math.

I'm autistic and was a gifted kid. People absolutely do not put up with many things from you just because you're brilliant.

Late diagnosed autistic circles are full of people who did *not* do well in life because our social skills are subpar.

Great emotional skills will get a kid farther in life!
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

I am working a temp job in the public sector right now.

I haven't seen it said enough but the fact that the public sector is a key way for non-Whites to get middle class jobs is part of why the right wing absolutely hates the public sector.

This would also explain why video content blew up the last decade.

Remember when we used to argue on Facebook and Twitter with written words and now we just argue via videos?
