My mission statement for these fascist times (to impede, to annoy, to overcome)
An image of a freshly-tattooed triangle with the Latin words Impedire - Vexare - Superare (to hinder, to vex, to overcome) around it

Trump labeling ANTIFA a terrorist group is all part of his plan to criminalize the Democratic Party and ultimately ban it as a terrorist group. He wants one party rule. We know this because it's exactly what Hitler and Mussolini did when first came to power.

Still one of my favorite RATM comment-threads
A screenshot of a Twitter thread in which someone asks Tom Morello lead singer of rage against the machine. I want to know what machine these guys thought you were raging against in a political way. Someone else replies I really hate printers with a GIF of the scene from the office where the guys beat a printer with baseball bats. A third person chimes in, they are evil!

Gustav Klimt, Beechwood Forest, 1903

I mean, I *would* have solicited it if I’d known it was available 🥰

That happened to me once when I slept with my watch band pressing a nerve in my wrist. Scary, but also So Annoying 🤨

He’s still pain-free, energetic, and joyously destructive. Just swiped yet another tennis ball from the courts across the street, bringing his collection to an even 20. It ain’t over til it’s over.

My little dingbat’s fallen out of remission and the lymphoma’s not responding to chemo this time. We got an extra year with him, but the clock is ticking loudly now. As licks the couch for no discernible reason. Sigh.

Huzzah! So glad you found her people! 🥳

Honestly I don’t know why Klimt didn’t paint it this way in the first place

What could’ve been just a random giveaway turned into a meaningful remembrance, because she did the background work of telling me their stories to pass along to family and friends. If we’re saddling heirs with objets, the least we can do is give them the province and significance before we go!

When my mom (who could never resist a shiny object!) died, I invited everyone who came to the house after her memorial to take a piece of jewelry to remember her, and told them where she got it and why. I could do that because she told me the stories of her collection before she died.

Would you be open to moving to a solid blue state that pays solid blue-state salaries to contractors? Trying to dm you and the platform is glitching atm.

Could’ve been a cousin or school friend as well. Always glad to help!

What was his occupational specialty?

They’re Army, not Navy. We tend to use challenge coins and unit patches now, but servicemembers used to trade uniform accouterments (badges, buttons, and other easily-replaced items) with members of other services they traveled or worked with and became friendly with.

(Redone for better link) Ope, they’re WWII/Korea era Army cap badges. The Navy used cut-out seals, not discs like these.

Are they pins or flat, like coins?
