The right are trying to bring down the BBC in plain sight. It’s obvious for all to see. Yet if you say that out loud you get “are you saying it was ok to edit Trump like that?” Well ya know what Yes that IS what I’m saying. Trump DID incite a riot and although clumsy editing the meaning is the same.

What happens now is that every dropped piece of trash, every inch of graffiti, every broken down subway train, every disappointing sandwich, every rat in Central Park, and every single crime gets blamed on Zohran Mamdani... by racists who never go near NYC.
My tip as a Londoner. Shrug and carry on.

All eyes on New York 👀 will be interesting how this plays out and possibly scary. I fear for him under Trump rule. But it’s good to see. Wonder if Zack Polanski is taking notes. 🤔

Guy came into my work this morning - wanted something for his Spanish house. Moaned he couldn’t live there since Brexit “we were lied to.” Then said “now Reeves is drip feeding tax rises” then said they’re all the same, they lie. Certain he’ll vote Reform. What a mess. 🤦🏻♀️

Nothing matters anyway. The John Lewis ad made me cry so the world is right again. It’s all ok. 🎄

This is the issue. Not that they’re doing it, but they said they wouldn’t even though we’d have voted for them anyway.
I was at Rachel Reeves' first speech of the election where she promised not to raise income tax, NI or VAT. She was asked the question in different ways by every journalist in the room, we could not believe she was ruling it out for the whole parliament. It seemed an extraordinary thing to do.

The annoying thing is Labour would have won with this message of we all need to contribute to fix our country. I would have still voted for them even with raising taxes. But people will rightly be furious that they weren’t just honest then. We knew this. They should have said it. It’s unforgivable.

The only disappointment for a lot of people (most of them reside on X) is that the horrific train attacks didn’t happen in London. They happened in Cambridgeshire - that well known violent area where immigration is out of control. Oh no wait…..

Why does the BBC have the chair of Reform on to discuss the train attack? Last time I looked he wasn’t a police officer, an MP and his party only has what 4, 5 MPs?! 🤷🏼♀️

Oh, look at this - the letting agents apologise for NOT applying for the rental license & say Rachel Reeves would have been under the impression the license HAD been applied for.
Can we have the apologies now from everyone who have been absolutely obnoxious today in their handling of the story?

If Labour do raise income tax, the already hostile electorate will never forgive them. You can’t promise not to do something and then do it anyway. We all knew the economy was a mess before the election. Either come out and explain what’s changed or do the things you said in your manifesto.

The Caerphilly vote shows the division in the Country - left vs right. Parties trying to please everyone are pleasing no one. Yet jumping either way is hugely risky too. Glad I’m not PM.

Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey as my dad used to say. This is the next step along the road imo. Publicly stating what a disaster Brexit was puts the issue front and centre in the minds of the electorate and will make it easier to convince them that stronger ties with the EU are a good thing.
