#math #physics Economists predicted correctly that Brexit would be the worst economic disaster that a country ever inflicted upon itself. It was, at least before Trump. Brits wanted to stem the influx of "Polish plumbers." It worked, except now those plumbers will be wealthier than the Brits are.

When you hear guys like Stephen Miller joke "there goes the neighborhood" because minorities have entered their community, understand that they don't WANT ethnic groups to assimilate

That's why racial covenants prohibiting people from selling to these people-including Jews-were legal until 1968
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

On the 2nd of March, 1959, construction of the Sydney Opera House commenced. It’s older than me! And obviously, it has aged much better. Summer is a few days away, but it feels like it’s here already.

#classicalmusic #opera I've read opera reviews for many years, but this is the first time I've read something like "sing the living shit out of.." The phrase definitely deserves more wide use. 🎶
Just finished listening to Miss Fassbaender sing the living shit out of the Judgement Scene and the applauders at the end get SHUSHED! German audiences, man. They will always boo an interesting director but God forbid you applaud a diva for serving cunt. m.youtube.com/watch?v=uj7L...

#math #physics #astronomy Interesting! Economists predicted Dublin would prosper especially after Brexit. U.S. citizens wouldn't have to struggle with language learning tapes. The Irish are notably friendly. Lots of benefits for having to drive on the wrong side of the road. ☘️

#math #physics Blimey. If it's been 150 years since 1897 then Australia needs to improve its education. But after seeing 1897 in at least 3 places, deep in the article it says 1879. Contribute to the Guardian so they can hire a proofreader. What could be more important than a story about cricket? 🏏

#math #physics That's about 8 inches of snow, which is enough to cover poor Jasper. He probably wishes he was here in South Florida, where everyone is complaining because overnight the temperature plunged to 48 F (9 C). 🥶
We had 20 cm of snow overnight! A good part of it is now on Jasper. 🐕

Richard Grenell was named director of the Kennedy Center. He has no musical background at all but he has now conducted the Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. Goodness these people. His husband is a dancer so he thinks he's an authority on dance. I hope no one goes to Kennedy Center now.
