The Hagerstown and Surprise warehouse detention camps are set to be DWARFED by the purchase of a massive warehouse in El Paso (price currently unknown) where ICE wants to hold 8,500 people, making it instantly the second-largest jail in the entire United States (behind only Rikers Island in NYC).

Eight hours after Homan's press conference, my kids' school went into code yellow and were held inside past release time because of ICE vehicles in the area. Maybe they were just looking to abduct children in a more professional, targeted manner, though.

I do. I hear it more and more from young and student journalists, especially international ones. I’d like to say we’re all unafraid, but I don’t think we should underestimate the damage done.
The thing about this is that I don’t know a single journalist who will be intimidated by Don Lemon being arrested?

But, then, that’s not why the administration is doing this. The founders couldn’t have imagined a president violating core freedoms for the purposes of social-media accolades.

DHS has a whole citizen detainment system set up in Minnesota. They snatch citizens off the street (often with proof they are citizens), detain them for a few hours, steal their phones, then release them into the cold.

It ain’t about deporting citizens; it’s about terrorizing a whole population.
‘Abolish ICE’ has become an increasingly popular position and people are being shot in the streets over it why the fuck would you dillweeds roll over like this. Especially given that citizenship is much more friable than people think it is this is not as protective as dems want it to look.

It is literally false that the Jews being hunted by Nazis were citizens, because the first step toward genocide was stripping them of citizenship and making them stateless. As Arendt reminds us, citizenship is a legal category created to facilitate a machinery of exclusion of the out-group.
