I have thought of this quote a lot and shared it with lots of people. Helped me point out how car brained we have been guided to be: we have assumed it is a right to have a car wherever we want and gov should help us store it? Wrong. City spaces are meant for people not cars :)

Jaywalking was a creation of the automobile industry. Continuing to criminalize it will not prevent injury and death, only safety focused street design can do that.

Vision Zero is a failure in the US because our city, state, and federal leaders don't have the backbone to stand up to a minority of citizens who would rather see people die on our streets than have their commutes slightly impacted.

Like anything else, riding in the heat is all about being prepared. Lots of water, breathable cloths that cover your body, a good spray bottle, and sometimes a cooling towel are great ways to make summer riding much easier.

We love riding in the rain! Ran some errands by bike with these two yesterday including a trip to the grocery store for the weekly shop. We could have easily jumped in the car to stay dry of course but what fun is that?
