what the high level of AI adoption among the executive class actually tells you is that their "jobs" are mostly going out to eat and playing on their phones all day.

If you still don’t want to leave Spotify (despite the fact you can transfer your playlists to other streaming options that don’t profit from exploiting artists while recruiting for ICE), we ask you not to share your Spotify Wrapped this year.
Spotify is running ads to recruit for the regime’s secret police. Stop paying for or using Spotify until the ICE ads stop: indivisible.org/cancel-spotify?source=bluesky

Devs were only allowed a few (I believe two) tickets per nomination before Geoff charged them. Resale tickets were in the hundreds. And we all know what happened to Future Class (if you don’t, read my piece).

the store that sells the game series called “sex with hitler” is pearl clutching about weird horses
The additional context is that Valve is still killing a beloved games studio, still tried to weasel out of making a press statement, still didn't allow a second review, and still did not communicate with the developer beyond vague references to their terms.

Valve responds with "additional context" following Horses Steam ban controversy
Following Valve's decision to ban first-person horror adventure Horses from distribution on Steam, the company has provided "additional context" in a statement.

Remember when Amazon held a sale during Independent Bookstore Day in an effort to undercut indie bookstores?

We didn’t forget. Support local bookstores during Small Business Saturday and beyond.

We got gen-AI dubs from Amazon and gen-AI subs from Crunchyroll, but if you torrent a fansub that real people worked to translate, code, and stylize, you're the piece of shit.

I can't believe calls for aid in Palestine get removed and posts like this are allowed to stay up.
Most people don’t know this, but the JP version of Quest 64 was rereleased in North America on PlayStation in August, 2000. Due to all the changes, this edition received a new title: “Chrono Cross.”
Nabbed a Japanese copy of Quest 64 for my Analogue 3D to see just how improved it is over the English version that released 13 months earlier. I said it felt rushed to market - did the Japanese version fix its probs? (Doubt it.)

I've yet to play The Roottrees are Dead and Verho (it's been an extraordinarily busy year), but I bought both at launch because I think it's a class act to just hire talent, and that's something that should be rewarded.

My advice to any developers dabbling with AI is simple, just remove it.👍

You can tell there's a bias against AI on Steam based on how a lot of the people who use Gen-AI in their games describe the use of Gen-AI.

"ONLY DONE FOR CHARACTER PORTRAITS!" "ONLY DONE FOR ANIMATIONS!"

Desperately trying to make it acceptable to buy their game.

Sorry. I don't support that shit.

Nearly every single day I have games like this clogging up my inboxes, and it's such a time wasting endeavour, as I have to sort through and filter out all the AI generated shovelware, and it just won't stop. No matter how clear I am that I am not interested in AI slopware, it keeps coming.

Hey tech sphere and/or game dev and/or gaming sphere folks who follow me?

Do. Not. Pirate. Books.

I'll say it again.

Do not pirate books.
Do not pirate short stories.

There are extremely few authors who hit a single million let alone more in sales. Those that do, do so off of selling *rights*.
I posted a buy link here to "A Magical Inheritance" a few days ago, and 24 of you immediately went to Anna's Archives and fucking stole it from me.

Yes, stole it.

I do not get paid for your download there because YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME.
