I don't know how to solve this and it's not the fault of anyone who is starting a worker owned outlet but if I know anything about publishing (and I know a little) I know that we're saturating the market and not even creating the support infrastructure for longevity, e.g., something like ads

I know y'all think Trump's about to drop dead but Mitch McConnell has been a zombie for several years.

Don't get your hopes up.

Idk if I was in leadeeship at a studio that released a wildly successful and critically acclaimed RPG that made me insanely rich the last thing I'd do is whine or post on social media ever again but maybe I'm just built different.

Sometimes I think it'd be a good idea for CEOs to be scored, Metacritic-style, based on how others evaluate how they run a company. I like to imagine it would encourage more restraint. Their incompetence does real damage. You shouldn't have to suffer executives just because you want to be a gamedev.

Hilarious how Brown claims GDC is 45% more affordable than last year, but that's only looking at tickets. Sure, nice, you lowered the entry fee... for an event hosted in the most expensive location on the planet to get to, stay in, eat in. Also, the whole "people getting shot in the streets" thing.
Are you going to GDC? A lot of international folks are not, it seems. A multitude of senior industry figures have told us that US immigration, safety and cost concerns mean they are sending fewer staff than in previous years – or not attending at all: mobilegamer.biz/many-interna...
Many international visitors are skipping GDC this year amid cost concerns and US safety fears
GDC’s organiser has told us it is working to make the show safer and more affordable, but industry chatter suggests international GDC attendance will nosedive this year.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.
