All I can think is that some people believe that being right about a doomsday scenario earlier than everyone else will make them the winner of doomsday or something.

CZ pleaded guilty to a criminal money laundering charge and was sentenced to prison.

But then he financed President Trump’s stablecoin and lobbied for a pardon.

Today, he got it.

If Congress does not stop this kind of corruption, it owns it.
“That turned out to not be the case” is a lot more words than are necessary to state “they lied”. It was a lie. You know it.
We know it. They know it. But you won’t say it because… why exactly?

You know, fuck Bernie Sanders, this pisses me off. We’re supposed to have standards and values. The GOP is the one hiring Nazis and groypers and trash bigots. How can people stand up to that without having some kind of standards that they adhere to? Goddammit.

the president has destroyed the east wing of the white house without so much as a word of input from anyone else to build a royal ballroom paid for with bribes
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

If a D is ever elected POTUS, razing the Trump ballroom and restoring the White House to pre-Trump status is non-negotiable.

You have to tear down the physical manifestations of authoritarianism.
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

The "it's a republic not a democracy" crowd is really leaning into "he won an election so he can't be doing anything wrong."

lol. For racist white guys who say they love Hitler, “due process” and “fairness.”

For Latino fishermen accused of drug smuggling, summary execution.

Also, it’s amusing to demand due process here. You’re experiencing social sanction, fellas. No one is sending you to prison.

The shameless GOP lying about the No Kings gatherings scheduled for next Saturday reveals how deeply hostile much of the Republican Party is to “the right of the people peaceably to assemble.” I look forward to our local No Kings event, and urge my fellow Americans to attend in their communities.

You would not fire these people—including the staff of the hugely, HUGELY important 'Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report'—if you cared at all about public health, if you wanted people to live.

And you would not let your thuggish henchmen fire people like this if you were a responsible president.
BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:

They make up lies about paid agitators doing violence, and attach them to the name of a prominent Jewish person. This is antisemitism, and it infects every part of the GOP.
Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

"We are facing a clear and present authoritarian danger.

Don’t Democrats need to demand that provisions curbing the administration’s authoritarian moves need to be attached to legislation funding the government?"

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

“The president should be removed from office, because he is plainly insane.”
Trump: "I don't know what could be worse than Portland. You don't even have stores anymore. They don't even put glass up. They put plywood on their windows."

The Speaker of the House has firm views that Bad Bunny is a terrible pick for singing at the Super Bowl, but hasn't had time to watch the President's speech to our military leadership or form an opinion whether furloughed federal workers should be paid or Illinois' governor should be thrown in jail.

This act of violence by Trump’s masked DHS agents against a minister peacefully protesting reminds me of the darkest days of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.

Now as then, we will not be intimidated.

I will not back down.

Trump is now calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power.

What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism?

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.
