This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.

Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.”

Really listen to it.

this administration’s obsession with pull-ups as a demonstration of masculinity is as pathetic as it is hilarious
Duffy: "My daughter pointed out a video from Dr. Paul Saladino where he was complaining that there are no pull up bars in airports, which prompted me to call Sec. Kennedy to give me Paul's number to start the conversation."

Such a perfect example of what we all give up when we refuse to address basic inequalities. I don't want to live in a country where all the public space is militarized to keep hungry people from stealing food, just give them money to buy food!

Today, we previewed 4 legislative proposals to help grow DC's economy.

This is about keeping residents in DC, creating good-paying jobs, and ensuring our city remains a place where people want to live, work, and do business.

Even before the start of President Trump's surge, D.C. had the most police per-capita of any U.S. city. By a quite a bit.

And that's just counting the city's force, not the huge array of other police agencies here. The Capitol Police, also in D.C., is bigger than Baltimore's police department.
Bowser starts with talking about MPD's staffing, currently at 3,200. "We have a lot of room to grow our department," she says. Her goal is to get to 4,000 eventually. "We need to add hundreds more police." There are 135 recruits this year, she says.

The truth is Mayor Bowser’s agenda to decrease the visibility of unhoused residents and increase the policing of DC residents aligns with Trump’s agenda. So she's leveraging what she sees as an opportunity.
Today, I issued Mayor's Order 2025-090 to provide the pathway forward beyond the Presidential emergency.
