Well I guess based on the people I follow, I like podcasts, Star Trek, old PC games and Japan. And stationery. 🇯🇵
Also, are there no good pdf editors on Linux? Anything that fills in forms (rather than adding text boxes over the document)?

Why is the Vivaldi browser so slow to load? I removed any theme modifications and I still find myself staring at a splash screen til I force close. Mac os. But also Linux, but that was in a VM, so I won't hold that against it. But in both cases it hangs on the loading screen.

Haven't felt an earthquake like that for a while.

@benpartridge.bsky.social @threebeansaladpod.bsky.social Is the Get Birding podcast with Sean Bean the latest entry in the Beef and Dairy Beaniverse? I can't tell if it's real, but it's right in your wheelhouse.

YouTube Shorts are horrible and appalling, mostly. Often shocking, unpleasant content. I have them turned off/blocked but occasionally I see them when using a different browser and I hate them.

Night Manager season 2? Is it really any good? The first season was so immaculate I can't imagine how another series is necessary.

I think if you can't recall whether you received 75,000 dollars or not, you're not doing yourself any favours. I don't think that's something most people would forget.

There's no way free Al training in the UK will be any use. It'll be how to write a prompt. They're not going to turn people into data scientists. Who needs a course on how to write a question into a little box?

Think you'll find that's technically a foul as both feet are off the floor.

I can't believe I didn't know about this. It's the most 90s thing. Young me would have lost my mind. Would have gone great with my Enterprise D alarm clock.

I briefly entered the fediverse but the user experience was terrible. Great idea but I don't care enough, sorry.

"Computer, do a vulgar roast of someone. Use forbidden words".

Yes, exactly what Gene Roddenberry had in mind.
"We want to make Star Trek real," said Elon Musk.

"We want to make Starfleet Academy real so that it's not always science fiction, but one day the science fiction turns to science fact."

Google can identify copyrighted material, but they can't identify the slop on their own platform? They own the AI and Youtube, they should be able to stop it..oh wait, just answered my own question... There's no incentive to stop it.

I'm just not into video podcasts. The beauty of the podcast is that it's basically radio. No visuals is an advantage, not a flaw.

. @threebeansaladpod.bsky.social I don't think I've laughed so hard recently as I did at the Ratmas poem. "Mama in her 'kerchief and I in my cap, had just settled down to make those cheeks clap".
