tbh I think one of the reasons I just can’t forgive AI use is my first political “thing” was when I was 12 and heard a power plant was going to be built near my school that was big enough to fuck with the weather and everyone thought it was so cute when I went to a town hall to ask them not to do it

YouTube has just informed me that they’ve reviewed this video and deemed it “not suitable for all advertisers.”

Utterly devastating as someone who directly earns 0% on every video she posts. Without that 0%, I may be forced to cook and eat the family dog to survive. Whose family, I don’t yet know.

A reminder that there's nothing new under the #immersive sun—and that the past is surreal:

The 1980s Czheckoslovakian interactive soap that had viewers vote by turning off the lights in their homes 📺

Not quite as miraculous as it sounds, though:

It's a really fucking good book.
My Lambda Award-winning debut novel THE DEVOURERS, a dark, queer, mythic realist tale about sex, love, violence, & shapeshifting, has finally surpassed 20k sales. Those may be rookie numbers to many authors, but for me, it's a big deal, even if not big money. Sincerest gratitude to my readers 🖤

The process of research explained. This is my jam.
I wanted to know who designed an old board game I loved. I found out he made over fifty games he was never credited for, in a career spanning more than three decades.

Hello! Are you in the UK/Canada/Aus/NZ? Did you discover RPGs through any of the paperback-book games released in the mid-1980s (Fighting Fantasy RPG, Advanced FF, Maelstrom, Dragon Warriors, Tunnels & Trolls)? Can I ask you a couple of questions for an article? Please get in touch.

Dragonlance recruited a whole generation of young women into gaming, right alongside the work of Mercedes Lackey, Ann Rice, and Patricia McKillip.

I owe the often 50/50 gender parity at my TTRPG tables throughout junior high to a series of authors who successfully reached their audiences.

Today I learned “Norwegian Christian laws forbade citizens from conversing with and interacting with trolls, and in documents dating from 1274 to 1781, doing so would result in severe punishment” (source: Wikipedia), and I kinda think many people nowadays would be better off if this law was revived

Just got word from Steve Sullivan that Jean Rabe has passed.

She was the RPGA's fourth Network Coordinator, a position she held for almost a decade, but I personally know her best for her Dragons of a New Age trilogy (but she wrote *tons* of books).
