Brilliant peaceful monkey-wrenching #AbolishICE #BoycottHomeDepot
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

I spent most of my day off reading “The Staircase in the Woods.” Heading out to a concert now, but will finish it tonight. Holy shit, @chuckwendig.bsky.social, what a story!

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all.

Kitty, wait. No, kitty, no. Must you do the scarf-and-barf thing right under the chair I’m sitting in, so that I step in it when I get up to grab paper towels?

Hey, Skeep friends! Let’s make this a thing before Thanksgiving. Donate any amount to show your appreciation for farm workers.
I donated because I’m grateful for the people who work so hard to keep me and all of my neighbors fed.
We can’t do Thanksgiving without farm workers: Make a donation during this season of thanks and giving and help fund change all year long. act.seiu.org/a/thanksgivi... or paypal.com/paypalme/ufw... #WeFeedYou

I saw Koyaanisqatsi last night at the Lensic in Santa Fe, with live music by the Phillip Glass Ensemble. Didn’t realize that filmmaker Godfrey Reggio lives in SF. I hadn’t seen/heard it since it came out in 1982. It broke my brain again. Beautiful and disturbing.

I hate plumbing projects; pathological procrastination kicks in. I present to you: the new disposal unit, with plumbing connections that are not leaking at the moment. The stupid part: the old disposal wasn't broken; the wall switch was burnt out. I don't do electrical; paid for that repair.

Oh, this makes me sad. I moved to Oregon in 1990, just as the microbrew industry was taking off. I was a card-carrying SNOB (Supporter of Native Oregon Brews). Rogue Ales were near the top of my list.

Yes, thank you! AI = environmental death.
re: Bsky staff being AI weirdos, I see this sort of thing a bunch from people who like AI but don't want to outright go all in on public zealotry

just because it's invented doesn't mean you gotta use it! Syphilis isn't being uninvented anytime soon but that doesn't mean I'm rushing to get infected

Grrrrrr
Absolutely fitting coda to the whole Epstein horror show is that the brave testimony of dozens of women could not be credited and we need the emails of men to deem it credible.

Don’t buy Starbucks. Don’t cross picket lines. Until the company gives its workers a fair contract.
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

NM congresswoman Leger Fernández, represent!
I proposed an amendment to block Republicans from funneling millions of taxpayer dollars to Senators subpoenaed for January 6th. Watch how every Republican on the Rules Committee lacked the courage to intervene.
