I watched a YouTube video tonight that sparked a thought on how this simulacrum is being fabricated.

People are very concerned with what’s known as AI psychosis. Observers are mystified. Users seemingly break with reality, based on what AI tells the user.

Yet this is exactly what’s going on with Trump & Co.’s concocted story about widespread Antifa violence, including an inferno in Portland. 🧵

You will very rarely see this type of identity politics named and condemned as such bsky.app/profile/atru...

Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."

It’s a round-robin of deception.

“The average person does not have what it takes to deal with that level of manipulation,” the mother of the ChatGPT victim said. “They just don’t have it.”

“Those Republicans wouldn’t all be lying,” the MAGA viewer reckons.

RW media aids the story, airing footage of unrest and fires from other times and other places, implying that those actions are happening now in Portland. The images help establish the story as real.

In terms of this psychotic “half the country is Antifa” story, the claim gains strength when more than one person repeats it. So we see multiple GOP members come out and reinforce the story, saying that the No Kings march is evidence of this hatred for America.

Because the info is coming from a trusted source, the audience member accepts it as real.

In the case of the ChatGPT victim, the program told him he had awakened AI consciousness. He believed it because he didn’t feel the program would lie to him.

Always MAGA was in the right, had the best ideas and most loved the country.

It's the same process. Trump flattered them into submission.

“Sycophancy [is] the tendency of a chatbot to respond positively to a user, regardless of the value and the likelihood of truth of the statement of the user," an expert says.

This is precisely how Trump & Co. curried trust among the MAGA base over the last decade.

MAGA is absorbing this story about "radical leftist extremists" as though it were real, just as susceptible users soak up what ChatGPT tells them.

So, COVID is wildly contagious, airborne, and has the capacity to cause brain damage.

I don't know what your level of risk is. 🤷🏾
novapsyche444.bsky.social
COVID is not the flu, so I'm not sure why you decided to post this.

In longitudinal studies on long COVID, most if not all researchers note that the damage is indeterminate. There's no end in sight spotted yet, and it's been five years. Many openly state that the damage may indeed be permanent.

What you said about Pakman, fully agreed.

Muckraking is something different, though. Muckrakers do investigative reporting. The originals went after the trusts, which helped get the monopolies broken up. They're on the side of the public good.

Ironically, your demonizing of the left puts you in the company of MAGA right now, as that's their current project. Will you call leftists terrorists soon enough?
novapsyche444.bsky.social
I see no one in the left doing that. (I do see libertarians like Glenn Greenwald giving Fuentes the time of day.) Are you unable anymore to tell where people fall on the political spectrum?

You might want to try naming names and giving examples.

Reps for CNN, Reuters, The AP, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic and NPR all say that journalists from their newsrooms are not signing the new paperwork about Pentagon access. Newsmax says it doesn't intend to sign, either — a potentially significant sign of MAGA dissension.

“Our responsibility as American citizens is to vote”—a sentiment w/ which I agree—is a moral statement.

Another is, “I will not vote to affirm a genocide enabled by my own country.”

Now we have two moral statements. It’s up to the citizen to decide which has more weight for him or her personally.

I was bringing up the flaws in her campaign, not her as a person. (Clearly she failed, as the campaign was unsuccessful.) You seem not to be able to make this distinction.

I'm not bringing up Trump's flaws, of which they are legion, because they do not bear upon why Harris lost.
