NYC parents: 10 more days to vote! We’ve got great slates of candidates for NYC D2, other districts and the citywide councils! We’ve got candidates that will come to meetings and listen! Candidates that care about racial equity and academic rigor and letting trans kids be kids. We can do it all!

The majority of those on the D2 CEC have demonstrated that in addition to everything else, they don’t care about the rules or showing up to vote. Why does the CEC D2 president continue to bend over backwards to accommodate? Everyone should be offended by this behavior.

Let’s get voting NYC public school parents! It’s not one or the other: equity or excellence. We want both.

Right now the District 2 CEC board has a majority of MAGA moms of liberty monsters on it. We’ve seen them roll their eyes at parents in tears who are asking them to be less cruel among many other things. It’s time for them to go.
