It's wild how the version of you you think would be cool to be in your head is so disconnected from how you actually feel comfortable being. Authenticity is often never perceived as a goal. Or at the very least, a naive optimistic hope for a delayed authenticity in a renewed self is sought instead.

I've been radio silent because I'm in the process of standing up an app.bsky.* API server (aka app-view aka Barnes & Nobles). This is an expensive and time intensive operation that I didn't want to do until it was necessary.
It's a fail-safe not a differentiator in experience, but important 7/11

what i'm really thinking about is that for anything left of mussolini or rigorous intellectual inquiry to survive the coming decades, decentralised technologies like bsky, signal, and probably even crypto will be crucial. people are not thinking through the implications of this nearly enough!!!
