The fact you don't feel like you did anything "productive" today doesn't mean it was a "wasted" recovery day. There are dozens of recovery tasks revolving around how we talk & relate to ourselves that have zero to do w/ outward "productivity," but which move our journey forward.

Around Lake Panorama, "Westie Rocks" leaves either painted rocks or ceramic creatures around the trailside for people to stumble across. Breaking out of its shell, a smol green-spotted dragon blinks at the world around him. At least it looks like a dragon in my imagination : ) He's hanging out for a moment, fissures and cracks on the shell that has sheltered him thus far, as if figuring out his next step. The forest floor is strewn with leaves, pieces of bark, and moss. I don't take him home as he might torment the cat (or the other way around...or perhaps they become besties!)

My poem titled Red String. … I followed the red string on my pinky, wrapping it around my arms as I walked. The string was becoming heavier to hold, the weather less manageable. I bumped into someone then, with red string around their arms too.
