You guys have no idea how good this car is for what we’re doing. You can lurk in alleys or behind parked SUVs. It drives like a go-cart. You’re three feet off the ground with exceptional visibility so I can pull snap u-turns or cut behind convoys

Minneapolis is an interesting case because in 1970 it was still 94% white, ~ the last large city in the county to diversify. (Even Milwaukee had its "late great migration" 20 years earlier.)
ICE and MAGA really did bet the farm on all of Minneapolis’s white people going “oh yes, please take away our disgusting, evil non-white-foreigner neighbors, oh thank you so much.”

it’s beautiful that they’ve been proven incredibly wrong about that - may the rest of the country do the same.

We have ~15 separate radio dispatches, one for each neighborhood, and dozens more for the suburbs/Saint Paul. Each dispatch/monitoring channel contains somewhere between 500 and 2000 people. At any given time there are probably a dozen mobile patrols and 100 on-foot observers in each neighborhood.
Does Minneapolis have a radio dispatch set up for the people who are following ICE? That's brilliant.
alright here you go

One thing I will never understand is why anyone wears camo any time they're not in an actual combat zone in like the desert or jungle.

It's all cosplay.
Now the actual military has to dress like it’s not the military cuz federal law enforcement agencies dress too much like the military

Actually I think if you are Target and your execs all live in MSP, it is not a bad idea to rotate execs through local Targets to play this role and to volunteer to be arrested with the full weight of Target’s legal team behind you.
The general theme of this commentary is "stop asking MN companies to ban ICE from their properties." The argument is that enforcing the ban would fall to individual low-paid employees, who would be placed in danger.

Here are the Subway/Metro Station design guidelines that were compiled by UMTA/USDOT in the 1970s in an attempt to prevent WMATA-style cost overruns again.

It got shelved when everyone at UMTA got laid off and we forgot it. But it's prescient about cost drivers -- rosap.ntl.bts.gov/view/dot/11352

The second quote that Weigel highlights is what Bernie fundamentally doesn't understand, and it's an incredibly serious error that leads him to a deeply immoral conclusion. When people immigrate to the US, we're importing demand as well as labor supply! You absolute maroon.
One of the Great Texts in this discourse is Bernie Sanders's 2015 interview w Ezra Klein. Klein gives the globally minded progressive view that the US should be sharing its wealth with more migrants. Sanders says no, a nation has to increase quality of life for citizens. www.vox.com/2015/7/28/90...

A few weeks ago my dad said he was getting rid of a box of old maps.

I said “the he’ll you are” and he got rid of it to me.

So I’m going to log going through it and if you want anything, let me know.

If not I’ll probably eventually put most of it in the recycle bin. Or gift wrap.

I mean, sure. The airport is heated. The forecast high temperature in the Cities in the next week is 12.

They snowflakes can't handle the cold.
It’s been reported locally, but I’m not sure how much national notice this has gotten. As part of this invasion by shithead goons, they are putting ICE agents in jetbridges and other parts of the airport at Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are flying Delta via MSP, you are putting yourself at risk.

It's just the Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku Lines, Michael, how many of the five busiest train stations in the world could they serve.

(Four. The answer is four.)
So apparently several major Tokyo train lines went down for hours during rush hour because of a maintenance error , where the workers left the grounding strap on, then voltage was applied which caused a massive short and damaged loads of equipment
