2. Donated a large coat, several jackets and long sleeve shirts, and 3 scarfs to a local group that hands them out to homeless folks

Working remote doesn’t make you lonely. Working remote without any other support system makes you lonely. If you always counted on the workplace for friendship or romance, then yeah, working remotely would suck.
Smart folks have gone back to office or created a life that supports working remote.
