I've been seeing a lot of messages about food banks lately, and I wanted to quickly shout out to @yegfoodbank.bsky.social

They've been helping a lot of people for a long time, including a certain tall gnome a few decades back. If you can, support your local food bank. The need is only growing.

If you are looking for ways to help your community, it is a good time to donate to your local food bank if you can.

My understanding from those who do this work is that $$ is the most effective donation at the moment, since food banks have existing relationships that can stretch your donation.

People are hungry. Give them food to eat. Plain and simple.
