Pinterest is my guilty pleasure, I like looking at DIY projects over there.
And increasingly I only look at the old stuff I've already saved, because I'm tired of digging through slop in the feed.
It's not just annoying, it's distracting and disconcerting.

Friendly reminder that Congress had enough phone calls coming in last February that it was actively causing the phone system to crash and they had to progressively work to upgrade it over several nights to ensure it could handle the call volume.
If enough people call, it disrupts the system.

I'm seeing a lot of posts to call your reps but little on actually how. 5calls.org is a great site where you can put in your zip code and get numbers for your house representative and two senators. You also can get a script if you're like me and stumble over your thoughts.

i think the big hurdle for a lot of artists making the move from twt to here is perceiving less likes as less human engagement. but actually the opposite is true: you're more likely to get human reception here than on [the corpse of] twitter, because the high amount of bots = artificial likes
