Go ask Alice, I think she’ll know.
Hating Trump is nothing that deserves praise. Just about everybody hates Trump. Some Republicans just go along with him because he’s their ticket to more wealth and power. Cheney didn’t need that anymore.
In the final years of his life, Dick Cheney earned praise for breaking with his beloved Republican Party and defying Donald Trump.

But Cheney, who died at 84 on Monday, never addressed the worst transgression of his decades in politics: his deployment of lies to grease the way to the Iraq invasion.
Dick Cheney and the big lie that should never be forgotten
It led to 4,400 dead US troops and 200,000 or so dead Iraqi civilians.

Guys thank you for allowing me to fly you to my private island. Have fun but please respect my boundaries vis a vis minors trafficking. That’s just for me, sorry. Help yourself to ANYTHING in the fridge tho
Kash Patel says the FBI has NO information that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked minors to anyone other than himself.

SEN. KENNEDY: "Who, if anyone, did Epstein traffic these young women to?"

PATEL: "There is no credible information, none ... that he trafficked to other individuals."

Something to consider when presented with the question - Should immigrants who are criminals be deported? I worked at a firm that focused on immigration and criminal law for a long time. We specialized in representing immigrants who were in the criminal system. First, yes, I can say with confidence
Margaret Brennan is fundamentally wrong on the claim that public approval of mass deportations is "so high." It has never been above 60%, and has been below 50% in multiple recent polls. There is no world in which that counts as "so high."
BRENNAN: The public approval is so high of deportation

PADILLA: It depends how you ask the question. If you ask the same people, 'Do you think we should maintain due process in the US?' the answer is overwhelmingly yes

Folkston, GA is a redneck hellhole in an area where Klan meetings are not uncommon. Very poor area. So naturally, Republicans want to spend $50 million to build the biggest ICE detention center in the country there. www.ajc.com/news/2025/06...
ICE detention center in South Georgia could become largest immigrant jail
Combined with the Stewart Detention Center, the country’s second largest immigration jail, Folkston’s expansion could cement the region's role as a hub for immigrant detention

As I’ve mentioned many times, having worked at an immigration law firm for many years, it’s clear that the primary difference between the “legal” immigrants conservatives pretend to tolerate and the “illegal” immigrants they openly hate is having the money to afford expensive attorneys & filing fees
🧵NEW: The House GOP's reconciliation package would DRAMATICALLY reshape immigration via fees, and as noted below, undermine judges' contempt powers.

First, one big change would be an $1,000 fee to apply for asylum, plus $550 every 6 months for work permits and $100 for every year the case drags on.
The House Judiciary Cmt released their reconciliation bill.

In addition to immigration measures, it transfers *all* FTC antitrust actions to the attorney general, among other antitrust provisions, plus does the following w/ courts

It’s not cowardice. When you have a country that encourages politicians to get very rich in their government jobs, you’re going to attract a lot of people who run for office to get rich. And the Republican politicians know if you oppose Trump, you lose funding and elections.
The cowardice of the GOP has been astounding 👇

Seems like you couldn’t lose with Bathroom Genital Inspector.
How stupid and arbitrary are Trump's mass firings at federal agencies?

A State Dept employee tells me some colleagues are racing to change their job descriptions so phrases like "transnational crime" don't get caught up in DOGE AI bots scanning for words like "trans" to fire people because "DEI."
