My job is to bring worlds to life. I like to illustrate subtle stories of the mundane, not just the stories of the heroes. And the heroes are not perfect either. My view is not focused in the middle of the scene. It’s a little bit off*.

I am where I want to be.

Don't tell me you like 70s music if you can't name this band.

Every time a new edition drops, someone always asks, “Why do we need this?”

Well, because publishing is a business, not a museum. Games evolve, people get a paycheck, and the bills get paid. That’s how many in the hobby continue to exist.

I am happy for you. That sounds wonderful indeed.
Besides they scratch partly that itch for gaming as I unfortunately don’t get to play very often, so I enjoy listening those when I work.
I must disagree with that. Good AP’s are at least somewhat genuine game sessions and the players really enjoy it, it’s not just impro theatre. But they are playing for an audience, and they are edited. But you still learn some good things for your own games from them. At least I do.

And if you think digital art is bad, don't get me started on print! Even when you work using the correct color profiles, color calibrate your screen, provide printers with pantone or other color samples, etc they will still never print exactly as intended. Let go and be free.
Very few actual plays even sound like real gaming sessions. Certainly they do not sound like ours. But they are fun to listen, and to learn some good roleplaying tricks.

Though The Esoteric Order of Roleplayers does sound pretty authentic with all the eating and "side-quests".
I have played only the 2nd and maybe the fifth for few times, now that I remember it. That Elmore cover for the 1st and 2nd is just the sweetest thing ever. You cannot top it.

Maybe all that whinsical stuff makes the dystopia more bearable. Besides it’s pretty deep socially.
Many of my fondest memories from my early gaming years come from playing Shadowrun. Great setting, not so great system, though as I didn’t run it, that didn’t really matter to me.
Shadowrun is a unique phenomenon in the world of games. It's not the biggest game, but almost everyone’s heard of it — though what they’ve heard might not be complimentary. What's the story there? Why does it have the reputation it does?
Why do people love to hate Shadowrun?

Tariffs are putting US game companies out of business. (Note this is the US subsidiary of AMIGO, not the whole German company)
Very sad news: After eight memorable years in the American market, AMIGO Games US will close its doors at the end of 2025. Thank you to our team, partners, and players for your support along the journey.

AMIGO Games' products will continue to be available while supplies last.
RIP Drew Struzan. Masters like him are now an extinct species. The whole movie poster art form is dead.
Honestly, that place scares the shit out of me. Cosmic horror is nothing compared to the mundane horror that it creates, now more than ever. And some people here still salivate when they dream of moving there, becoming rich and free from oppression by the wellfare state.
What a POS. I can guess the color of his baseball cap.
The latter I do know to be a fact, thank Cthulhu!

But what you wrote fits perfectly to my work, too. The horror! The horror!
What’s the issue with Card? I love Ender’s Game, though never really got into the Seventh Son stuff.
”Do it for exposure” just doesn’t scare that much, compared.
I cannot think anything better than your’s.
There is no sense to buy anything from the smaller US publishers anymore. The postage costs almost double the price of the book. I have to hope some Amazon in EU has the book, even though I hate the idea of buying through them, giving my money to Bezos.
I got an email that a book about an illustrator was available for a pre-order. The delivery from the US was about 26 € which was ok-ish. I placed it in the basket but didn't buy yet. Today, 5 days later, I decided to buy it. The delivery was 75 €... Eh, no thanks.
Thank you, ignorant lunatics. We got rid of many diseases, but for some reason people desire them back. If only them were the ones that would get them.
