I use AI every day yet tonight it still left me gobsmacked.
I've been using a local LLM to transcribe a relative's handwritten diary from WW2. The OCR is great, no issues there. Thing is the NZDF had redacted the names of ships and the ports they visited from the letters.

Literally walking out the door to hit the gym while 3o-mini in Agent Mode performs a trivial (but manually painful) refactor for me. 100+ files to change and it's cranking through them 🦾

12 months and £24 later, The National Archives have found and digitised my great-grandfather's WW1 service record. I now have a chance to finally plot his movements during the war and solve some family mysteries. Feels like Christmas! #genealogy #familyhistory
