she was a doll, just like how she sees Via now. it makes sense that she loves what she gets from Stolas (a sense of power and control) and is terrified of losing that, hence the escalation of abuse. i’d love to see it explored without ever diminishing how evil her choices are

yess i agree! Stella is at an interesting crosspoint, she has so much power and privilege in some areas and is so powerless in others. i can see her being from a family where she always got anything she wanted materially but never what she needed (choices, respect, attention w/out screaming for it).
